Dundalk Cricket Club - Chosen as RTE 1 John Murray Show 'Underdogs'

Dundalk Cricket Club are about to become the most famous Cricket Club in Ireland thanks to RTE and the John Murray Show.

The club have been chosen as the show's 'Underdogs' for 2012.

Each week the show, which airs every morning on RTE Radio 1 between 9 and 10:00, will be talking to Dundalk Cricket Club's Neil O'Callaghan for a catch up on the club's results throughout the 2012 season.

This is a great opportunity for Cricket at grass roots level to be presented on an ongoing basis on the national airwaves and is a fantastic opportunity for the club to make it's presence felt on a national basis.

Things kicked off on Wednesday 2nd with the announcement on the show of the club's success with an interview with  Vice Chair Gerry Murphy and from then on until the end of the season the club will be featured and followed by John and RTE 1.

Dundalk Cricket Club of course were sucessful in their first outing in league Cricket last year when the 1st team won Division 11 of the Leinster League, this year they step up two notches into Division 9 and a second team will play in Division 12.

It is the 1st team that John Murray will be following and the club very much hopes that the town will tune and get behind the club.
